Shadow Part I – The Bosobogolo Lion

Shadow Part I – The Bosobogolo Lion – Kgalagadi Trip February 2018

Our third night at the Bosbogolo campsite ca. 20 km away from any human being. We heard a lion roaring far away in the evening when we sat at the campfire. Even in the distance, this roaring makes you shiver. The next morning, he still roared far away.

While walking around at the campsite my heart stopped when I saw THIS HUGE paw prints.  And later on the day, his paws!

He had visited us during the night, silently crossed our place whilst patrolling his territory.

The Bosobogolo campsite is located in the wild part of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier National Park.

There are only approximately 4500 wild Lion Males left in Africa!
